I finally had the time to post up this highlight. I went back to Banting for Lee Teng's wedding, visit my grandmom & took the opportunity to celebrate 2008 New Year @ Bukit Bintang.
So, early in the morning on the last day of 2007, my honey & me went to have my favorite Nasi Sotong Banting. It is something that cannot get elsewhere. Only banting have. Delicacy of Banting. Apart from Nasi Sotong, there is also "chi hun khen"(starch noodle) & "or ee" (yam ball). All of them are my favorite & a must eat when i go back to Banting.
I ta pau some for my grandmom & my auntie too. So, off i went to my auntie house to return house key to my grandmom. My grandmom was having temporary nyanyuk coz she fell few weeks ago. So she stayed with my auntie. She getting better now. Lucky!!!
About 12pm, i & my honey drove to KL and reached there bout 3pm. Initially we wanted to park somewhere at a monorail station & take monorail to Bukit Bintang but we changed our mind. We wanted to park at Times Square as suggested by my sis BF but as usual we got lost. We couldn't get to the opposite of the road to Times Square.So, finally we parked at Low Yat Plaza.I was worried to park there coz the case of Christmas where all the car that passed in front of Sungei Wang was attacked. But luckily it didn't happen.
We started to walked around but it was boring. We had the chance to watch rehearsal of Magnun New Year concert & I saw Justin, a singer from Hong Kong. Stupid me for not borrowing my mom camera. So only phone camera. But at my height i can only watch in between people or jump on my high heels. Pity me....
With nothing to see, we went to Pavilion. Finally!!!! It was just across the road.... Ok...Pavilion is just window shopping for people like me. We walked around & i discovered Parkson...Yeah!!! Something for me....So off i went in just to find that it is no ordinary Parkson. Too bad...Then outside i saw Nine West bag sale....70%...wah!!! good good....i wanted to find a bag too... So i went to check it out...I saw a bag...not that bad design...so i check the price...RM500...HUH!!!!!WALAUEH!!!! After 70% also i can't afford one.At least i think it is not worth it... Then there was Tang's & i saw a woollen shirt with a cute cat with a necklace on it...i walked close just to find out the price is RM900....WALAUEH!!!!!
GRRRR!!!!OOPPPSSS!!!Hungry already!!! let's go to look for some food....So we went to the food court....HUH!!!All Japanese & Western food!!!Boring & expensive not to mention!!! Ok lah....As a conclusion....Pavilion is just for window shopping!!!!
Then we walked back to Sungei Wang to look for something special....but nothing to be found...I personally think that the food industry has now come to point that there are no improvement or new idea. Profit only!!! After taking our lunch in an ordinary cafe, i suddenly thought of Eyes ON Malaysia....i thought it was Eyes "OF" Malaysia but never mind.....Monorail last station was Titiwangsa. My honey agreed as he was also bored with window shopping. So quickly after our late lunch, we went straight to the monorail station. When we went up to the rail, we saw a lot of people on the other side and the train that arrived on the other side was packed like a sardine can. Thank god we are going to the last station. As soon as we arrived at the Titiwangsa station, we suddenly had the lost feeling again. The Eyes was far away. So, my honey suggested that we cross the street first. So we went to the next flyover, crossing the bus station. To my disappointment and feeling unsecured, there was a gang of punk passing a bottle of paper glue. I didn't want to think what is that and what they are doing with it. We quickly walked passed them and to the other side. Then, lost again....how are we going to the Eye? Ask somebody i told my honey....U ask he said....apalah.....I saw a Malay girl siting waiting for bus and i went by to ask. She told me i should take a taxi & it would only cost bout RM3. Eee....ok..not bad....After thanking the lady, we went to look for a taxi. Finally we got one...Yeah!!!Eyes of Malaysia here we come...
Only 5 mins of ride & we finally arrived. Fast Fast!!!Buy ticket!!!! Wait wait!!! take picture first...So excited....After snapping some pictures...we quickly went to buy tickets...Rm30 for two...Worth it!!! Then queuing time...Its finally our turn & we shared a carriage with another couple....Off we go!!! First round...take picture...take picture....take picture...Second round...take picture...take picture.....third round...take picture....Fourth round....huh!! how many rounds more?.....Fifth round....some more?when is it going to end!!!!....after 5 rounds....it finally came to a stop.....
Then took some picture and off we went back to Sungei Wang to get ready for the concert. We stop a taxi to get back to Titiwangsa monorail station but he wanted to charge us RM10 & refused to use meter claiming that we will not get a taxi at that time. But we didn't took it. As soon as we shut his door, another taxi came. This time it was a meter taxi. It only coz us RM2.50 for the ride. We took the next monorail back to Sungei Wang. The train started to get packed on the 2nd station...Everybody was getting ready for their countdown...We got off at Imbi station....It was starting to pack at Sungei Wang....There were Magnum & Digi giving goodies. My honey got a Magnum Hand....We found the best spot in town....Starbucks at the side of the stage....GREAT!!!!!!!
We really enjoyed it...But there was a girl fainted as it was really warm that night....To be frank if it wasn't her that faint, i would be the one that faint....(DEMON IN ME: Luckily she faint...at least give me some shock and people fanned the air for more oxygen!!!I get to take some). There was also this inspector that help to clear the starbucks from non customer..... Initially we wanted to go back about 10pm but the show was starting to get hot that time....i was waiting for Gary & Justin time.....Great singer!!!! It started to rain after Daniel sang his 2nd song ( as usual...it always rain when he sings....sorry to Daniel fan) So it was time for Gary....AHHHH!!!!!GARY!!!!!!!GARY!!!!!!!It was already closed to 12pm....
Countdown time.....10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3....2.....1....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!Then JUSTIN!!!!AHHHH!!!!!JUSTIN!!!!JUSTIN!!!!!Then after he sang all his song.....BYE BYE!!!!!
Fast fast lets get out of here....it is going to jam....OFF we drive out of KL to Putrajaya...I had to fetch my mom & sis back to PG........We took KL-Putrajaya link which is 15min++ drive to Putrajaya.....So OFF we drive to Penang...What a nice start for 2008....But why did i got stop by Police just after 5 min i switch with my honey? Maybe because with my new hairstyle i look like underage girl.....They thought that i was driving without license....hahahhaa......my license have 3 year before expired....I'm already driving for 7 years now......hahahahah!!!!

The dinner only took bout 30 minutes which was super fast compared to chinese dinner. Normally chinese wedding dinner takes a least 2 hours...so i was quite shocked too....but then we waited to get some pictures with the newly wedded couple...We were joking that we need to take number first for our turn...heheehe... a lot of the guest wanted to take picture too
Hope this new look will make me a better person.....cute leh....hehehehe!!!!
